The Sonshine group was established in August 2009 by five women who had a passion for sending good wishes to those serving in the military, those who are ill, and to those who are homebound. Usually we meet at the church on the first Wednesday of each month to write cards. Approximately 40 cards are sent out each month including many sent to people that are not congregational members. The Goal is to let the Son (Jesus) shine through this effort to lift the spirits of those in need.
Once or twice a year, “HAPPY BAGS” are distributed to nearby shut-ins. Since this organization is non-profit, everything is donated through the congregation’s generosity.
